Five men were arraigned before an Apapa Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos on Thursday for allegedly stealing fifteen (15) bags of wheat belonging to Dangote Flour Mill Company.
The men were identified as Mohammed Hamza, 40, Olaseinde Oladiran, 48, Abilawon Peter, 46, Shaibu Inu, 46, and Waliu Jimoh, 27. They all pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge brought against them.
The prosecuting counsel told the court that the defendants committed the offences on July 10, 2017 at about 11:45am at Dangote Flour Mill Company.
He added that they stole fifteen bags (15) of wheat valued N47,250.00 property of Dangote Flour Mill Company.
According to the prosecutor, the offences contravened sections 411 and 287 (5)(b) of the criminal laws of Lagos State, 2015.
The Magistrate, A.I.O Alaka granted all the defendants bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety each in like sum.
The case was adjourned till August 17, 2017 for mention.
