ANLCA dumps Elections Panel report?

The Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has asserted that the report submitted by its Elections Petition Panel is not sacroscant.
A statement signed by the ANLCA National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Obicee Okonkwo, noted that the report of the panel are “mere recommendations and the Association will decide on either to uphold or reject any part that may be at variance with the ideals of the Association.”
Okonkwo also stated that the report is being exhaustively examined by the ANLCA National Executive Council in order “to arrive at a just conclusion.”

He urged members of the association to ignore rumours and speculations stressing that the “association is yet to give a verdict on the report.”
It would be recalled that the panel set up by the ANLCA leadership to investigate allegations of anomalies during the association’s Western Zone elections held early this year submitted its report to the association’s National Executive Committee (NECOM) and Board of Trustees (BoT) on Wednesday.
In its report, the panel had recommended that the Association Electoral Commission (ASECO) be reconstituted and elections be rerun for the Apapa Area 1, Seme Border, Kirikiri Lighter Terminal, Murtala Muhammed International Airport and Tin-Can Island chapters.
