ANLCA in South Korea for IFCBA confab

Top officials of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) are presently in South Korea to attend a conference organised by the International Federation of Customs Brokers Association (IFCBA).

The conference with the theme, “Celebrating 25 years of trade facilitation through expertise and innovation” is to hold from May 13 to May 17, 2014.

National President of ANLCA, Prince Olayiwola Shittu, who led the delegation of ANLCA officials to Seoul, will participate in a panel discussion, part of the conference’s programme, focused on stakeholder engagement as a criteria for success.

The IFCBA Secretariat, in the invitation letter addressed to the ANLCA National President, stated that delegates from every region of the world representing customs brokerage and freight forwarding firms, express carriers, shipping companies, and importers and exporters would be attending the conference.

“The IFCBA is dedicated to encouraging and fostering co-operation among national customs brokerage associations at the international level and to facilitating the exchange of information and ideas on matters affecting international traders.

It is the belief of all IFCBA members that an ongoing process of information sharing among themselves and between the private sector, national customs administrations and international organizations such as the WCO, is vitally important,” the letter further stated.
