Wison Offshore and Marine has succesfully launched of its barge-based floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) – the first of its kind in the world.
The facility was undocked from Wison’s drydock in Nantong, China.
The non-propelled FSRU barge has a regasification capacity of 600 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.
Two SPB cargo tanks, each with a capacity of 12,500 cubic metres, are installed in the hull for LNG storage. The principal attractions of the tanks are a proven immunity to sloshing problems that allows LNG ships to go to sea partially loaded – even in harsh weather – and a customizable geometry that, among other benefits, results in the kind of flat-deck vessels needed for floating processing plants

Headquartered in Shanghai, Wison Offshore & Marine owns and operates two fabrication yards in Nantong and Zhoushan, China.
