Cosco shipyard wins deal to build two oil tankers

China’s Cosco (Zhoushan) Shipyard has bagged an order to build two 113,000-dwt crude oil tankers for an European buyer.

The newbuilding tankers are scheduled to be delivered in the first quarter and the second quarter of 2018, respectively. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The European buyer has also been given the option to build two additional sister units by November 2016.
