Cosco shipyard wins order for $30m livestock carrier

Cosco (Guangdong) Shipyard has won an order to build a livestock carrier valued at approximately $30m from a European buyer.
The 4,500 square meters livestock carrier is scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2016.
“Additionally, the shipowner has an option to render effective, within six months, one contract for the construction of a similar vessel,” Cosco Corporation (Singapore) announced on Monday.
Cosco (Guangdong) Shipyard is a subsidiary of Cosco Corp (Singapore)’s 51% owned subsidiary, Cosco Shipyard Group.
