The National Council of State on Tuesday in Abuja approved N27,000 as the new national minimum wage.
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, made the disclosure while briefing State House correspondents the end of the Council of State meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari, said the Executive Bill will be transmitted to the National Assembly on Wednesday.
The council according to the minister, approved N30,000 as the new minimum wage for federal civil servants and N27, 000 for states and private sector workers.
