An Apapa Magistrates’ Court has been sentenced a truck assistant, Gafaru Alade to two years for stealing the gearbox of a truck belonging to the company he works for.
The judgment came after he pleaded guilty to the two-count charges against him.
It would be recalled the police prosecutor, Sergeant Friday Chinedu had told the court that the accused committed the offence on July 9, 2017 at Marine Road, Amuwo, Apapa where he stole the gear box of IVECO truck valued at N350,000, property of Thomlee Nigeria Limited.
The Magistrate, Temitope Babalola heard the facts and sentenced Alade to two years imprisonment to run concurrently.
