Customs Hqtrs wades into alleged sex-for-container saga

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Headquarters, Abuja, may have commenced investigation into the alleged sex- for-container-clearance saga, starring Reverend Sister Catherine Gift Elias of the Catholic Church and the Officer-in-Charge of the Legal Unit, Tin-Can Island Port Area Command, Chief Superintendent of Customs Ibrahim Badisha.
SHIPS & PORTS DAILY reliably gathered that after last week Friday’s invitation by the Area Command’s Enforcement Unit, which requested official statement from the nun over the matter, a representative of the Customs Headquarters, and Deputy National Public Relations Officer, Assistant Comptroller Joseph Attah, met with the nun on Tuesday for further interrogation at Apapa, Lagos.

Although Attah declined to comment on the outcome of the meeting and position of the Service on the matter, when contacted, SHIPS & PORTS DAILY gathered that the Deputy National Public Relations Officer, who is on a fact-finding mission, will present all facts gathered on what led to the seizure of the consignment before the Customs Management for a final decision to be taken by the Service.
“I don’t know anything about that. Call the PRO of Tin-Can and find out,” Attah told SHIPS & PORTS DAILY.
