Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have stormed the Procurement Department of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) in what is seen as the commencement of the probe of the former Director General of the agency, Patrick Akpobolokemi.
Usually authoritative sources informed SHIPS PORTS DAILY that the EFCC operatives have been at the agency since Monday grilling staff and collecting relevant documents.
Akpobolokemi alongside the agency’s Director of Shipping Development, Capt. Warredi Enisuoh have also been asked by the anti-graft body to appear before it today to explain their roles in the agency’s finances.
