Executive Order: Usman storms Apapa port midnight to monitor compliance

To ensure compliance with Acting President Yemi Osinbajo’s Executive Order mandating streamlining of government agencies and 24-hours at the nation’s premiere port, the Lagos Port Complex (LPC), Apapa; the Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Hadiza Bala Usman has urged stakeholders to collaborate to ensure ease of doing business t the port. 

Speaking when she stormed the port at midnight on Saturday to witness night operation, Usman said the port environment has been prepared for total compliance to the order.

She said there is no room for complacence in compliance to the Acting President’s orders. 

“As we come to the end of the ultimatum on the subject, we must work in unison and create pathways to efficiency. This is why we are in the trenches this night, so that the work gets done. Therefore it is appreciated if we go the extra mile on compliance and implementation of this regulation,” she said. 

She assured of adequate lighting of the port environment and institutionalization of shift hours by government agencies.
