A female migrant Towabola Adebayo recently repatriated from Libya, has died after two days of medical treatment in University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH).

The Adebayo who hailed from Ogun State, was among the 5th Batch of the returnees that were evacuated back from Libya on board Medview Air that arrived Port Harcourt on Monday night.

A statement issued by NEMA in Port Harcourt yesterday and signed by its Head of Public Relations, Sani Datti, said the deceased was sick all the way from Libya and was taken immediately in a waiting NEMA Ambulance to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching were she was immediately admitted through Accident and Emergency Unit of the Hospital and treated of vomiting, general weakness of the body, abdominal pains and other associated illness.

Datti said the deceased died two days after she was admitted in the hospital.

He said contacts have been established with her parents adding that arrangement is being made to covey her remains home.
