The Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, has said the Federal government will continue to partner and collaborate with the Chinese government especially in developing Nigeria’s rail sector.

Amaechi said this when the Chinese Ambassador, GU Xiaojie led a delegation to pay him a courtesy visit at his office in Abuja.

The minister, according to a statement from his ministry, praised the efforts of the Chinese government in supporting the Federal Government in the area of infrastructure development.

He noted that much work had been done in the sector, adding that the government needed to aggregate past achievements and complete the project in good time.

“Much work has been done but Nigerians are looking forward to the completion of the project,” Amaechi reportedly said.

He thanked the ambassador and his entourage for the visit and also expressed the Federal Government’s appreciation to the Chinese government for the support and assistance given to Nigeria.
