Carelessness on the part of the drivers is one of the major reasons we have accidents. To curb accident is to be careful while driving. If all drivers can be more careful, accidents will not occur.
Truck accidents can be curbed if there is regular maintenance on the truck. Drivers must ensure that they check their trucks before driving. By so doing, there will not be accident. Some truck owners allow their drivers to manage faulty trucks on the road because before the truck breaks down it will give the driver some signs. For instance, the driver tells the owner the cost of repair is N20,000 and the owner refused to repair it and the driver is made to drive the truck like that, before you know it, the truck develops more fault andthe cost of repair is doubled. So, it is much better to repair the truck at the initial stage. Well, by the grace of God, the incessant truck accidents on our roads will not happen again. Right now, I am replacing the tyre of this truck, because there is nothing the truck likes than good tyres. My truck is alright, the engine is good and the gear is okay. It is only the tyre and that is what I am fixing.
In my opinion, incessant truck accidents can be curbed through the help of the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC). They should ensure that all truck drivers are tested before giving them driving licence. Because some truck drivers do not have the experience of driving trucks.
One of the causes of truck accidents is caused by illegal multiple check points on our roads. While driving at night, those things used to obstruct vehicles cause accidents. The solution is for the government to remove all check points on the road because touts even military are taking advantage to collect money from us. Most times, we can be on high speed and our breaks are not like the small cars. To prevent accidents, there should not be check points.
What is causing accident in Nigeria isbad road. No any other reason apart from the bad roads. As you can see Nigerian road is bad. The solution is for our Federal Government to work on all the federal high way. If they can work on it, accident will be curbed. Armed robbers are attacking us every day because of the bad road. They used the advantage of the bad road and blocked drivers on the road. That is what is causing accident. We are begging our government to fix the road.
Some of theToyota Hiacebuses contribute to the cause of accidents on our road by competing with trucks on the express. They drive recklessly without considering that they have passengers in the bus. They should be cautioned because they are conveying many people. More importantly, the federal government should rehabilitate the road because armed robbers take advantage of the potholes to rob commuters.
The truck is a movable machine. In my view, accident cannot be stopped. Just like human beings, when something hit us, we feel the pain. Somebody is driving while feeling sleepy, it can cause accident. You are supposed to stop and sleep, then continue driving. We cannot say trucks cannot have accidents because we have hills and valleys. We are not the producers of tyres; it can burst at any time. The bearing can just scatter inside. While driving you cannot really say everything is perfect. God created us, we created the machine. We cannot stop accidents unless we stop all vehicles from moving.Then, we can stop accidents.
There are so many ways we can curb truck accidents in this country. The Federal Government should try to sensitize the drivers by organizing seminars so that they can enlighten truck drivers on how to drive and the traffic rules. The Union should interact with truck drivers by letting them know that they are not the only road users. They should be well behaved so that they can be regarded as people who come from good homes. They must not drink before driving. Truck drivers themselves must ensure that their trucks are in good condition before hitting the road.
The major causes of accidents on our roads are all those sharp bends, dangerous bends or those gallops on our bad roads. The Federal and State Governments should repair all the roads. That will prevent accidents.
What causes incessant truck accident is the bad road. Apart from that, the police are also responsible for many accidents because of their manner of stopping cars on the road without considering the speed of an incoming truck. I will suggest the police be restricted to their stations and the road should be rehabilitated by so doing accidents will be curbed.
