Motorcyclist pleads guilty for plying port premises

A 27-year-old motorcyclist, Musa Mohammed, yesterday at the Apapa Magistrate’s Court, Lagos pleaded guilty to a one-count charge brought against him for illegally plying the port premises.

The prosecutor, Alexander Esebamen told the court that the accused was arrested on Monday January 30 at about 5pm near PTML terminal, Tin Can Island Port for unlawfully disobeying the order of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) by riding his Bajaj motorcycle with registration number DBD 562 VV within the port premises without permission and thereby committing an offence punishable under section 123(1) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2011.

The Magistrate, Mrs O. Alaka, adjourned the case till February 2 for facts and sentence.
