The Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Hadiza Bala Usman, has handed relief materials and items procured for internally displaced persons (IDPs) to Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima.

Usman said similar donations were made to IDPs in Adamawa and Yobe States as part of NPA’s corporate social responsibility.

“NPA believes that there is need to strengthen our CSR which amongst others includes projects addressing the needs of host communities in order not just to enlist support and synergy towards a harmonious mutual dividend, but to partner government in the quest to provide for IDPS and others that are in need,” she said. “This continued support is expected of us as a responsible corporate entity and agency of the federal government of Nigeria.”
