Police redeploys maritime command commissioners

The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris has approved the redeployment of the Commissioner of Police and second in command to the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Maritime, Besan Gwana to the Airport Police Command.

Gwana is to take over from Commissioner of Police, David Folawiyo who has now been transferred to the Maritime Police Command as the Commissioner of Police.

The redeployment takes immediate effect.

Both senior officers shared their experiences at their previous post at the meeting held at the command’s headquarters in Obalende, Lagos according to the public relations officer, Sadik Tunde.

The Maritime Police Command, headed by Assistant Inspector General of Police Kola Sodipo, comprises Eastern and Western Port Commands, Nigeria Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) Command and the Marine Police Command.
