Russia’s Novak: Better to scrap oil output pact when demand increases -RIA

Alexander Novak

Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said on Wednesday it would be better to terminate a global deal by OPEC and non-OPEC nations to limit production when demand for oil increases, RIA news agency reported.

Austrian newspaper Die Presse published an interview with Novak earlier on Wednesday in which he said it was too early to tell if Russia would take part in a possible extension of the output agreement.
