SIFAX Haulage boost operations with 20 new trucks

SIFAX Haulage and Logistics Limited, has acquired twenty brand new trucks to boost its operations and consolidate its position as a leader in the country’s logistics industry.

The trucks are European trucks with 420 horse power rating. 10 of them are ‘6 by 4’ double axles while the other 10 are triaxle flatbeds with 48 tonnage capacity. The brand new trucks will complement the 55 trucks already in use by the company; thereby bring the company’s fleet size to 75 trucks.

While speaking at the formal commissioning and unveiling of the trucks, General Manager, SIFAX Haulage & Logistics Limited, Adetayo Aderibigbe said the company’s decision to expand its fleet is a statement of intent by SIFAX Group to deliver a better service to its clients and become an undisputed leader in the industry.

“The acquisition of these new trucks is a clear demonstration of the unfettered commitment of the management of SIFAX GROUP to the strategic goal of repositioning SIFAX Haulage & Logistics Limited for greater productivity. This commitment is part of the company-wide strategy of strengthening all the subsidiaries with the requisite capacity and capabilities to deliver on the corporate objective of delivering best value in all sectors we operate.”

“With this acquisition, our transfer and delivery processes will be sharpened. We can now also favourably compete in the movement of deadweight’s. We are poised to change the haulage and logistics landscape in Nigeria with the expansion of our fleet. Our haulage team has been well prepared and equipped with various technical trainings to usher in the operations of these new trucks in addition to ones we have at hand.” He said.

“I must say that we are not oblivious of the fact that the provision of these vehicles alone is not enough to create the desired institutional capacity to operate our planned programmes. The subsidiary will therefore endeavour to further support with increased funding of genuine spare part importation, reward performance, invest more on state of the art workshop equipment and constant training of personnel for effective management of these assets.” Adetayo said.

Also speaking, Group Managing Director, SIFAX Group, John Jenkins, said that with the commissioning of these new trucks, the company now lives up to the standard it is known for worldwide noting that the company’s business acumen is geared towards constantly meeting customer needs and adding value to all its businesses.

Jenkins further assured clients that with the acquisition and relevant capacity development programmes that the staff have undergone, the quality of service they will enjoy will be a lot better.
