A 48-year-old truck driver, Odofin Oladele, was Thursday arraigned before an Apapa Magistrates’ Court for allegedly driving against traffic.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Friday Inedu, informed the court in charge number C/001/2018 that the defendant committed the offence on December 28, 2017 at about 12:30am along Ijora overhead bridge.
Inedu alleged that the defendant drove the same vehicle on the public highway in a dangerous and reckless manner and drove against traffic.
According to him, the offence committed was punishable under Law No 4 section 20 Vol 45 Lagos State Traffic Law, 2012.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge in the open court.
Magistrate Temitope Babalola admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N10,000 with one surety and the truck to remain in police custody pending the determination of the case.
He adjourned the case till
