Newly-appointed Customs Area Controllers (CACs) of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) have been charged to uphold zero tolerance against all forms of revenue loopholes.
Zonal Coordinator, NCS Zone ‘A’, Assistant Comptroller-General Victor Gbemudu, gave the charge on Tuesday at the February edition of the Zonal Coordinator’s monthly with the CACs at the Zonal Headquarters, Harvey Road, Yaba, Lagos.
Gbemudu pointed out that about 75 percent of the Service’s total revenue is realised from Zone ‘A’ , hence the need for them to re-strategise and ensure that all revenue loopholes are plugged.
He noted that the transformation the Service is currently witnessing is as a result of training and re-training of its work force, which, according to him, will gear the CACs for whatever challenges they may face as well as enhance their performance.
