ANLCA, Police form strategic alliance in Festac

The Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has pledged to support the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in the fight against crime.
This promise was made yesterday when the National President of ANLCA, Prince Olayiwola Shittu, paid an unscheduled visit on the Commander in charge of Area E in Festac, Barrister Dan Okoro.
The visit, according to the ANLCA leader, was necessitated by the desire of his association, which is situated within the area command, to ensure the safety and security of its members’ lives and properties.

Shittu, who had on Okoro’s assumption of office, hosted him in his house, offered to partner the Area Command in the fight against crime.
In his remarks, the Area Commander urged ANLCA members to provide information that will assist his men combat crime within the area as, according to him, “without information on crime prevention and criminalities, the police may not be useful to the community in which it finds itself.”
Both bodies promised to work together for the benefit of the society.
The meeting was attended by the National Secretary of ANLCA, Dr. Emma Ogu Oparah; Assistant National Secretary, Mr. Bolade Oladipo; National Treasurer, Alhaji Bojuri Akinsola and Chairman of the association’s electoral committee, Alhaji Abdulazeez Mukaila, among others.
