Association of Registered Freight Forwarders of Nigeria (AREFFN) Apapa Chapter yesterday elected a new set of executives.
The election which was held at the national secretariat of the association saw James Idemili emerge as the chapter Chairman.
The other executives elected to pilot the affairs of the association include Sam Elem as the Secretary; Francis Odusanya, Financial Secretary; Clement Iwegbunam, Public Relations Officer and Lawrence Izunwanne, Treasurer.
In his acceptance speech, Idemili promised to work with all stakeholders in Apapa especially the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) for the benefit of the association.
“I am honored to be elected the chapter chairman of Apapa. I promise to make our able association a force to reckon with in the industry,” he said.
While congratulating the newly elected executives, National President of the association, Dr. Frank Ukor advised them to be up and doing and “always put the association first”.
