Customs promotes 75 officers in Kano, Jigawa

No fewer than 75 officers of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) attached to Kano/Jigawa area command got promotion and alignment following the recent abrogation of Higher National Diploma (HND) and Bachelor Degree dichotomy in the service.

Decorating some of the promoted officers yesterday, the Area Comptroller in-charge of Kano/Jigawa Command, Mathias Abutu Onoja, urged the newly promoted officers to double their efforts in discharging their duties.

Onoja said the promotion was reciprocation of their performance in discharging their duties, hence, urged other officers and men yet to be promoted, to emulate their promoted colleagues.

Those promoted include Assistant Comptroller of Customs,  Abe A. T., who  was promoted to the rank of deputy comptroller of customs for winning the 2017 International Customs Day (ICD) award for outstanding performance on revenue collection in the command.

Five chief superintendent of customs were promoted to the rank of assistant comptroller of customs and four assistant superintendents of customs (I) to the rank of deputy superintendents of customs.

Also on the list were 65 assistant chief superintendents of customs (ll) who were promoted to the rank of assistant superintendent of customs (I) and among them was the command Public Relations Officer, Danbaba Isa.
