The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has redeployed no fewer than 20 of its senior officers nationwide.
This is contained in a statement published on the agency’s website on Friday.
It stated that the postings and deployment was to reposition the department, enshrine accountability, efficiency and performance for effective monitoring of the oil and gas sector.
The statement indicated that the postings and redeployment, which was made on Wednesday, also affected some divisions at the DPR headquaters.
“Consequently, Alfred Ohiani, who previously headed the Engineering and Standards Division has been redeployed to head the Planning Division.
“Olugbenga Koku, who was Head of Planning is now to replace Olumide Adeleke as the new Zonal Operations Controller of Warri.
“Adeleke is to head the Engineering and Standards Division at the headquarters in Lagos.”
The statement directed all affected officers to report to their new locations by Monday, September 28, 2015.
