Former Chairman, Tin can Island Chapter of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Dr. Kayode Farinto has shown interest in contesting for the vacant seat of the association’s National Publicity Secretary.
Farinto made the disclosure in an interview with SHIPS & PORTS DAILY on Friday.
He said he was contesting to rebrand the image of the association.
“My first priority is to rebrand the image of ANLCA. Also all our various publicity secretaries in all the chapters must be acquainted with happenings in the association and what is expected of them as chapter Publicity Secretaries.
“There are a lot of things that need to be done that have not been done. Not that I am casting aspersion on the person that is presently occupying the place but to improve the position.
“If elected, I will ensure that all chapter executives are carried along to ensure that the image of ANLCA is boosted. I will also ensure that information and sensitization of our members are done as at when due,” he said.
Farinto said a situation where customs brokers on the field are in the dark about the latest policies of government would become a thing of the past if he becomes the association’s image maker.
