Kemi Adeosun will undertake NYSC scheme – Aide

Kemi Adeosun

The Minister of Finance Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, who reportedly resigned her appointment on Thursday is prepared to undertake the mandatory one year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.

Adeosun was said to have thrown in the towel over allegation that she forged the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) exemption certificate.

However, an aide to the Minister, who spoke on condition of anonymity said arrangements were being made to enroll her into the NYSC scheme this year.

According to the aide, “She will surprise many Nigerians. She has towed the part of nobility. Not only is she quitting the cabinet, she is set to humble herself to undertake the scheme.”

However, confusion pervaded the atmosphere at the Ministry of Finance headquarters, Abuja, as none of the officials could confirm the minister’s resignation.

The Minister’s official car was parked at its usual parking lot, indicating that Adeosun was in the office.

The Director (Press) in the ministry, Hassan Dodo, was unable to confirm the minister’s resignation.

He said, “Before God and man, I am not aware of anything. If I have any information, I will not hide it from you.”

Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media, Garba Shehu, said he had not been briefed on the purported resignation.
