Late female maritime journalist left behind one-year old twins

A maritime journalist, Ifeyinwa Obi, who died in Lagos on Monday left behind a set of twins who are just a little over a year old. 

Obi died Monday morning at her residence in Lagos after battling an undisclosed illness.

Until her death, she was President of the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN). 

Obi is the third maritime reporter to have died within one month.

SHIPS & PORTS DAILY reported last month that a truck crushed a maritime journalist, Segun Agbolade, to death in the Trinity area of Apapa, Lagos. A week earlier, another maritime reporter, Kayode Atofolaki died in Kwara State after a brief illness.

Until her death, Obi worked with Vanguard newspapers.
