Shipping giant Maersk Group is set to announce an organisational restructuring, according to Danish newswire Ritzau Finans.
It was reported that Maersk’s management had told employees it would present an “organisational change” on 19 September.
The reorganisation announcement would come almost two years after Maersk Group announced a restructuring that saw it focusing on container shipping and logistics, with move to exit or spin-off energy related businesses.
As a result Total has acquired Maersk Oil in a deal worth $7.45bn, while Maersk Tankers was tanker private by AP Moller Holdings for $1.17bn.
A solution has yet to be completed for Maersk Drilling.
