Mary Hamman elected WISTA Nigeria President

Women’s in International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA, Nigeria) on Thursday elected Mrs. Mary Haman as its new President.

The election was conducted at the headquarters of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) in Lagos.

Haman works in the Shipping Development unit of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).

The new WISTA Nigeria President urged members to extend the same support they had given to past leaders of the association.

She also appealed to the new executives of the association to be committed to their duties.

Port Manager of Lagos Port Complex, Apapa, Mrs. Eunice Ezeoke was elected as the vice president.

Other officers are: Secretary, Anna Akpa; Adaku Mbama, Assistant Secretary; while Marian Yusuf was elected the Treasurer; and Helen Majemite was elected as Assistant Treasurer.

Promise Anaroke;’ and Aisha Cole were elected Public Relations Officer and Assistant Public Relations Officer respectively.
