The National Coordinator of the Port Standing Task Team (PSTT), Moses Fadipe, will this Thursday present his new book titled “Nigeria and Global Maritime Industry” to the public.

Fadipe is also a the Director, South West Zone of Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC).

The book presentation, which will hold at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, Lagos, is expected to attract many dignitaries including the Executive Secretary/CEO of NSC, Barr. Akutah Pius Ukeyima, and top maritime executives.

Under Fadipe, the Port Standing Task Team has been credited with many achievements aimed at reducing corruption and bottlenecks created by people at the port.

The activities of the PSTT focused on three cardinal areas, which include joint boarding of vessels and rummaging, joint cargo examination, and freeing of the port corridors.

The activities of the PSTT reportedly saved the Nigerian economy more than USD12.35 million, which would have been incurred as vessel demurrage, between 2021 and 2022.
