A crew boat damaged in a collision with a lift boat off the Louisiana coast in the United States of America earlier this month has been salvaged and is heading to a shipyard for repairs.
On Friday, Jewel Marine’s Diamond Edge crew boat was spotted aboard a barge in Bayou Lafourche towards a repair facility in Louisiana.
The steel-hulled crew boat was damaged and partially sank after colliding with a Halliburton-owned lift boat off Freshwater Bayou in the Gulf of Mexico on March 2, 2015. The incident left the crew boat with a hole in its stern, causing it to partially submerge in approximately 9 feet of water.
None of the four crewmembers aboard the crew were injured in the accident.
