Nigeria on Sunday night announced 248 new cases of COVID-19 infections, bringing the total infections in the country to 4,399.
The country also said it has recorded 17 new deaths, bringing the total of COVID-19 related deaths in to 143.
Figures released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday night indicate that Lagos recorded 81 new cases, Jigawa has 35 cases, while Borno and Kano recorded 26 new cases each.
The public health agency also disclosed that Bauchi recorded 20 new cases; FCT, 13; Edo, 12; Sokoto, 10; Zamfara, seven; Kwara, four; Gombe, Taraba and Ekiti recorded two cases each, while Bayelsa and Osun recorded one new case each.
“On the 10th of May 2020, 248 new confirmed cases and 17 deaths were recorded in Nigeria. No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.
