The Customs Officers’ Wives Association (COWA) has launched its Ports and Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Chapter office and empowered trainees comprising officers’ wives and widows.
COWA, a non-profit charitable organisation, supports Customs officers’ spouses and families through outreach programs, including training, empowerment schemes, and education.
At the event held in Lagos on Wednesday, COWA National President, Kikelomo Adeniyi emphasised the association’s commitment to community building and growth.
Adeniyi recognized the widows present, offering them food items and financial support for their sacrifices.
She said COWA aims to add more value to its members and society. She highlighted COWA’s commitment to supporting their husbands in giving back to the community through charitable exercises, including skill acquisition, family health and wellbeing training, business training, and empowerment programs.
Maureen Daniyan, Chairperson of COWA PTML Chapter, thanked Adeniyi for her support and praised the National President’s mandate to actualise COWA’s objectives.
She said the PTML Chapter is dedicated to executing empowerment programs and services, focusing on skill acquisition, catering, and general body products to promote self-reliance and economic emancipation.
Daniyan encouraged members to participate in training programs to become self-reliant, hardworking, and productive entrepreneurs.
