Nigeria Customs Service Schedules Online Recruitment Exam for October 9

Agents risk N5m fine, imprisonment for violations under new Customs law

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced that the online recruitment examination for shortlisted candidates in the Inspectorate and Customs Assistant cadres will take place tomorrow, Thursday, 9 October 2025.

This announcement was made in a public notice issued by the Service on Tuesday via its official social media platforms.

According to the notice, applicants have been divided into three batches — A, B, and C — and are required to log in to the official recruitment portal using their National Identification Number (NIN) to verify their assigned batch, date, and examination time.

The NCS emphasised that strict adherence to the allocated batch and time was mandatory, warning that non-compliance could result in disqualification.

“Candidates are strongly advised against the use of calculators, mobile phones, or any other electronic devices during the examination,” the Service cautioned.

Applicants were further warned not to attempt multiple log-ins or switch between browser windows during the test, as doing so could jeopardise their participation or lead to automatic disqualification.

The NCS clarified that this phase of the recruitment exercise applies only to applicants under the Inspectorate and Customs Assistant cadres.

Candidates in the Superintendent cadre will be notified of their own examination schedule at a later date.
