Reflecting its capacity for setting agenda, the Maritime Reporters’ Association of Nigeria (MARAN) has packaged a one-day summit to commemorate this year’s Seafarers’ Day celebration.
The summit is billed for Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the International Maritime Press Centre, Atlantic House, Wharf Road, Apapa, Lagos.
In tandem with the theme of the 2013 Seafarers’ Day: Faces of the Sea, as set by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), the summit will focus attention on the shipping industry and the development, challenges and prospects of Nigerian seafarers.
While the Managing Director, Dangote Ports Operations, Capt. Joshua Oyewunmi, will pilot affairs as Chairman at the summit, the Chief Executive Officer, African Maritime Consultants, Capt. Solomon Abiodun Omoteso, will be the Guest Speaker.
