Trucks have remained parked on major bridges and roads in and around Apapa and major roads in Lagos despite a 72-hour quit notice handed down to them by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The President’s 72-hour ultimatum was handed down to the truckers on Wednesday.
However, a visit around Apapa by SHIPS & PORTS on Friday revealed that while there was a visible increase in the number of security officials including armed mobile policemen at the foot of the Ijora bridge inward Apapa, nothing has changed in the modus operandi of the truckers who appeared unperturbed by the presidential order.
