National President Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Prince Olayiwola Shittu, has accused the present administration of the Nigeria Ports Authority of not interfacing with stakeholders in the maritime industry before taking decisions.
Speaking at the 3rd African Shipping & Oil Roundtable Forum in Cape Town South Africa yesterday, Shittu said that the present NPA management team’s alleged lackadaisical attitude towards relevant industry stakeholders distort the decisions taken by the authority which, according to him, when applied turns out not to be in the best interest of the stakeholders and the industry at large.
“It is important that the role of NPA should be to summon stakeholders before decisions are taken but I can tell you since the advent of this administration in NPA no stakeholders’ meeting has been held and the one that we pushed for was aborted by the same NPA”, he lamented.
