The trade volume between Nigeria and China has steadily grown to 16.59 billion dollars as at June, a Chinese official said.
A representative of the BrightWay International Exhibition Corporation Ltd., Mr Daivid Zhao, disclosed this at the ongoing 2013 Lagos International Trade Fair on Friday.
“The trade volume between the two countries grew steadily to 10.57 billion dollars in 2012 and reached 16.02 billion dollars in the first half of 2013,” he said.
Zhao also said that the corporation had brought 425 Chinese exhibitors and 1,000 participants to the Lagos International Trade Fair in the last five years from 2007.
Chinese pavilions, Zhao said, had recorded more than 200,000 visitors at the exhibition from 2007 to 2012.
He said that the companies’ participation at the fair had boosted bilateral, economic cooperation and trade between both countries.
