French container line CMA CGM Group is launching a new service dubbed WAZZAN to link Morocoo to North West Africa, and improve its Intra African coverage.
CMA CGM says the new service improves transit times between Mauritania, Senegal and Morocco by eight days by replacing the previous transshipment calls by direct ones.
The WAZZAN will also add a new direct call, from North West Africa and to Morocco, in Las Palmas.
This weekly service, complementary to the 6 EURAF ones serving West Africa and Europe, will deploy three 1,100 TEUs vessels on the following rotation: Casablanca, Algeciras, Tangiers, Nouakchott, Dakar, Nouadhibou, Las Palmas, Casablanca.
The first rotation will start from Algeciras, with the MV Delmas Swala, on June 6.
