President of the Customs Officers’ Wives Association (COWA), Mrs. Kikelomo Adeniyi, on Sunday led the maiden physical fitness exercise and mental health awareness program for members of the association.
The program included road walk, mental health talk, medical checkup, yoga session, and networking opportunities.
Speaking on the theme “Healthy Wife, Wealthy Life”, Adeniyi, who is also the wife of the Comptroller General of Customs, emphasised that wealth encompasses more than accumulation of materials but includes health and well being.
Addressing COWA members as “domestic engineers”, she urged them to be purposeful, not only in maintaining their households but also in managing family, business, and extended family affairs.
Commending the impressive turnout, she said COWA would organise quarterly medical checkups for blood pressure and sugar tests. She stressed the significance of members’ well-being, recognising its positive impact on the efficiency of their husbands in combating smuggling.
