Former Directo- General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Ade Dosunmu, has been appointed into the Board of the University Teaching Hospital, Enugu.
The Board would be chaired by Dr. Udeogu Chudi Job, while the other members are Mr Ibe Ejiogu, Charles Nwigbo, Prof. S.K. Gyoh, and Mr Ekpeyong Ita.
This appointment was contained in a statement signed by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, and issued in Abuja last Friday.
The statement named the boards of Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), University Teaching Hospital (UTH) Enugu, Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital and University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), among others.
President Goodluck Jonathan also approved a new board for the National Food and Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC), with Prof. John Ibru as the Chairman, while members include Pharmacist Paul Enebeli, Tukur Fada and Dr S. Bolanle Njoku.
Other members of the NAFDAC board are the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Health, and the Director-General/Chief Executive of the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development.
Others include Directo- General of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), representative of the Pharmaceutical Group of the Manufacturers’ Association of Nigeria (MAN), Chairman of the Pharmacists Board of Nigeria, representative of the Food Beverages Group of MAN, and the Director-General of NAFDAC.
The statement said that the boards would be inaugurated at a later day.
