A major pipeline explosion has been reported around Eveko community near Rumuji, Emuoha Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The explosion occurred a few kilometers from a new gas company under construction in the area around 3:03pm on Wednesday.
It sent tremor across the area, including the East-West highway.
Several residents of the communities around the area were seen fleeing after the explosion.
Casualty figures had not been established as at press time.
