An inspection team of the Nigerian Merchant Navy Association, led by Comrade John Okpono, has advised the management of Crown Maritime Academy (CMA) to intensify efforts on the provision of more facilities to boost training of cadets in the accademy.
The team was on the campus of the accademy at Ogba, Lagos on inspection of training facilities which had so far been provided by the management in a bid to gain affiliation with the association.
Comrade John Okpono commended the management but charged them to do more and ensure that trainings being offered are in line with the best practices.
Okpono who took time to interact with the cadets enlightened them on the challenges ahead.
He also charged them to take their educational training seriously and to stay away from any act that is capable of jeopardising their future.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Registrar/CEO of CMA, Mr. Musa Akinyemi thanked the team for the visit, saying the management had invested more on facilities to boost training.
He assured that the institution would continue the investment in facilities and conducted the visitors round the facilities.
Others who accompanied Comrade Okpono on the visit included Comrade Mohammed Suleiman and Mrs. BolanleAdewole.?
