The Governing Board of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has approved the promotion of nine Deputy Directors to the rank of Director. In addition, 30 Assistant Directors were elevated to Deputy Directors, 35 Chiefs advanced to Assistant Directors, while 169 other staff members had their promotions to the next grade level ratified.
The newly appointed Directors are Moji Jimoh, Coordinator of the Abuja Liaison Office; Odunayo Ani, Director of Internal Audit; Nneka Obianyor, Special Adviser to the Director-General; Biodun Fatade, Director of Procurement; Oma Ofodile; Gloria Anyasodo; Abdulahi Yelwa; Umar Buba; and Umar Ibrahim Sidi.
Congratulating the officers, the Director-General of NIMASA, Dr Dayo Mobereola, reaffirmed management’s dedication to staff welfare and to fostering a transparent, merit-based system of career progression.
He urged the beneficiaries to recommit themselves to delivering excellence in service.
“Our administration remains committed to improving staff welfare. This promotion exercise is strictly merit-based, and we expect staff to reciprocate by rededicating themselves to higher productivity. We will continue to prioritise staff welfare, while counting on your commitment to the ideals of the Agency in helping Management to actualise its mandate,” Mobereola stated.
