NPA MD Meets Unions, Affirms Commitment to Staff Development, Productivity

 

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, has reiterated his dedication to staff development, aiming to enhance productivity and revenue generation.

He made this assurance during a meeting with leaders of the Senior Staff Association of Government Owned Companies (SSASCGOC) and the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), led by President General Comrade Adewale Adeyanju.

Dantsoho expressed gratitude for the visit and emphasised the need for effective communication and dialogue to position NPA for efficient trade facilitation.

He pledged to strengthen the organisational culture, fostering a positive work environment, and sought continued collaboration from the unions.

Comrade Adeyanju congratulated Dantsoho on his appointment and urged him to address staff welfare and remuneration issues.

He expressed confidence in Dantsoho’s ability to drive improvements in the authority and maritime sector.

Other union leaders, Comrades Akinola Bodunde and Ifeanyi Mazeli, pledged support for management and committed to promoting dialogue and growth in the Nigerian Port Sector.

The meeting was attended by NPA Executive Director Finance and Administration, Vivian Richard-Edet; Executive Director Marine and Operations, Olalekan Badmus and other management staff.
