Omotayo died at his Lagos residence Saturday, May 11, 2013, aged 58 years.
According to the details of the funeral programme released by the family, on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, there will be a commendation service at All Souls Anglican Church. Kayode Animashaun Street, off Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, at 12.00 noon.
On Thursday, May 30, 2013, the body departs the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Mortuary, Ikeja, Lagos, at 7.00am in a motorcade for his residence, Plot 10, Block Q, Moshood Road, GRA, Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Lying-in-state/Christain wake-keeping is 5.00pm same day at Plot 10, Block Q, Moshood Road, GRA, Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The funeral service for the late Omotayo is billed for 11.00am Friday, May 31, 2013, at St.Peters Anglican Church, Oke-Kere, Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, while iinterment follows at his residence, Plot 10, Block Q, Moshood Road, GRA, Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Guests will be entertained at Emmanuel Events Centre, opposite Ikere Local Government Area Headquarters, Moshood Road, Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The deceased was until his death the Managing Director of Apapa Bulk Terminal Limited (ABTL) – the port operating arm of Flour Mills Plc and concessionaires of Terminals ‘A’ and ‘B’ of the Lagos Port Complex (LPC), Apapa, Lagos.
The late Omotayo was also the Vice President of the Nigerian Association of Master Mariners (NAMM).
A statement from the family of the deceased stated: “He is survived by his wife, four children, one grandchild, among other family members.
