PIL Expands Intra-Asia Services with China-Bangladesh Route

Pacific International Lines (PIL) is introducing a new weekly direct service, the China Chittagong Express (CCE), connecting key ports in China and Bangladesh. The service will commence on August 31 from Ningbo, China, and will be operated by a consortium of vessels. According to Surendran Mathilagath, General Manager of Intra-Asia Services at PIL, “We are pleased to expand our services to Chittagong, Bangladesh, with a direct express route from ports in China. The CCE service supports the growing trade between the two countries and provides a cost-efficient and reliable transportation solution.”

Mathilagath added, “This new service complements our existing BD1 and BD2 services, which connect Bangladesh via the transshipment hub of Singapore. At PIL, we are committed to putting our customers first and continually look for ways to improve connectivity and address market needs with tailored solutions.”

The CCE service will call at the following ports: Ningbo, Shanghai, Shekou, Chittagong, and return to Ningbo. PIL noted that the transit time from China to Bangladesh is 9 to 14 days.
