Sifax Group has elevated two of its management staff in line with its expansion programme.
The Group has promoted Michael Adebayo Owope to the position of Executive Director from that of General Manager, Offdock Terminal, while Oliver Omajuwa, the former Head, Corporate Affairs and Marketing becomes a General Manager, Offdock Terminal.
Owope, a chartered accountant, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and an MBA from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho.
He is also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
He has acquired diverse experience in insurance and maritime accounting and internal control processes spanning over a decade, covering such areas as payroll accounting, credit control, annual reports and statutory returns, management reports, cash flow planning and management, investment, budgeting and budgetary control, taxation and tax management, and due diligence investigation among others.
He joined SIFAX Group in 2006 as the Group Head, Internal Control, before a brief stint at SAHCOL, a member of Sifax Group, as General Manager, Finance and Administration. He served as General Manager, Administration and Stevedoring in Ports & Cargo Handling Services Limited, another member of Sifax Group.
Omajuwa a graduate of Business Administration of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo- State, also holds an MBA (Marketing) from LAUTECH, Ogbomosho.
He is a member of the National institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and Nigerian Institute of Shipping (NIS). He is also a Fellow of International Logistics & Administration (ILA).
Before joining Sifax Group in 2006, Omajuwa had worked as the pioneer Sales Analyst at Classic Beverages, makers of La Casera range of beverages; Chief Marketing Officer, Air Separation Nigeria Limited, manufacturers of medical and industrial oxygen gas and as the Admin/Marketing Manager at Duraclean Gases.
He has attended series of high profile sales, marketing, management, leadership and public relations trainings, both locally and internationally.
