The police on Wednesday arraigned an 18-year-old, Chukwu Future Favour before an Apapa Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing N1 million belonging to one Princess Chi Ezeh at Warehouse Road, Apapa.
Favour is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Iyobosa Onaiwu told the court that the defendant committed the offences on March 7, 2019 at Warehouse Road, Apapa.
“The defendant conspired together with others at large to steal N1 million property of one Princess Chi Ezeh,” Onaiwu said.
According to her, the offences are punishable under sections 411 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him.
Magistrate O.S Abioye granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000 with two responsible sureties in like sum.
One of the sureties, according to the Magistrate, must be a parent of the defendant.
He adjourned the case till April 1, 2019 for mention.
